In 2020, I was asked by Director Iggy LDN and Producers Rebecca Harris and Sarah Laita to develop a brand for their short film 'SUCKA PUNCH'.

Shot as a TV ad, the film addresses the way that trends, social issues and culture are exploited by brands through insidious marketing and advertising tactics.

To achieve this, they needed a brand that could act as a surrogate, an amalgamation of all the sweet, heavily caffeinated fizzy drinks-masquerading-as-lifestyle-brands that you can't get away from.
I developed the Sucka Punch logo, can design and a series of supporting assets including posters, t-shirts, billboard ads and stickers over a 48-hour period in order to fit into a tight production schedule. The purple and green colour scheme was then used by Production Designer Kelly Sinclair Smith throughout the film to hint at the brand spot that is to come.

Written by Ibrahim Salawu and starring Amara Okereke, the film was filmed in East London produced by Slick Films, "as a stark reminder of the dangers of the irresponsible use of advertising on all outlets, in particular social media, how brands can control what you think without the average person realising it, what this can lead to and how easily it’s done."
